The Adopt-a-Class program invites our community of partners into the classroom in support of teachers and students.   By   adopting   a   classroom, donors form   partnerships   with   specific   classrooms providing   financial   and   moral   support.   We invite partners to keep up with physical and spiritual needs of the class.  The result is a meaningful contribution to education in which donors experience the impact of their efforts and celebrate in a classroom’s success.

GSCA makes it easy for members of the community to support teachers and students. You can connect with us by email or phone and simply identify the classroom you want to help. Funding is used for general classroom upkeep and to purchase critical resources and materials, transforming the classroom into a vibrant center for learning. You may communicate with the teacher throughout the school year and experience first-hand the impact of your support.

The GSCA Teachers at Good Shepherd Christian Academy are volunteer teachers who feel called to serve the Lord through education. Adhering to the mission of GSCA, they love, equip, assist and disciple students while providing a high quality, bilingual education rooted in the Gospel of Jesus Christ. GSCA Teachers are encouraged to teach for the students’ futures, not to a standardized test.

GSCA Teachers are considered volunteers of Baptist Medical and Dental Mission International and are expected to raise financial support to fulfill their year-long commitment.

Throughout the academic year, teachers are immersed into Honduran culture, experiencing the rewards of serving on the Mission Field, while also having the opportunity to explore the country through guided excursions. A Bachelor’s Degree (of any field) is required for GSCA Teachers, and a teaching certificate is preferred.

We need prayer more than anything else. Join our newsletter and receive updates on what God is doing at GSCA, our needs, and our praises! Get to know the people who serve, and the children we are privileged to serve.
